Fishing in the dark. It's the eighth annual Moon Over Mountwood Fishing Festival at Mountwood Park Friday evening.

Kids enjoyed the great outdoors by fishing during the day.

Everyone 14 and under received a free fishing pole by this year's sponsor, Cabela's.

After catching their first fish, the kids got a trophy.

There was also a first, second and third place prize for both kids and adults depending on how long their catch was.

"Our main concern here at the park is the kids in this area who were very low income. A lot of kids can't afford to do anything so they come to Mountwood Park to use our park facilities and we started it for the kids," says Mountwood Park Attendant, Lorrie Arthur.

Mountwood Park received $3,000 from the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals to put together the fishing derby.
