Each year, kids across the nation don't get the opportunity to visit Santa Claus.

And the Gospel Mission Food Pantry made sure they got the chance to see him.

Over 100 kids showed up to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

Volunteers helped give out shoe boxes and stuffed animals to the little ones.

The event is to help fulfill the kids' wishes of having a holiday season they deserve.

"Seeing Santa today is going to be awesome because Santa, well you know, he rocks. And not just that, I just think it's going to be awesome for kids to come in and you know, see Santa," says Hailey Tucker.

The shoe boxes along with the stuff animals were donated by community members.

Visitors got to enjoy free drinks and cookies.
