A big red fire truck and loud sirens might get you thinking there's a fire in the neighborhood.
But Sunday wasn't the case as Santa Claus rode with firefighters from the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
Together, they traveled to area communities passing out coloring books and candy canes.
"The Santa Run is something we do every year, annually. We have two Santas that come along in the back of our fire engines and we travel street to street and take a few minutes at each house and let the kids tell Santa what they want and pictures are taken. Just something we like to do as community service," says Chief Jeremy Burchett of the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
Several kids even got the chance to head to the fire station to visit Santa and tell him exactly what they want for Christmas.
"It's pretty special. He's just 20 months old and this is his second Christmas. So it's the first one where he's finally kind of understanding about Christmas, presents and all that stuff," says Matt Krason.
"We just love Santa Claus. My husband and my son just love volunteering on the fire department," says Therese Harris.
The fire trucks and Santa Claus not only brings in the joy and smiles to kids but also adults.
"I heard all the sirens and I was so excited and I ran and ran and ran then I jumped and jumped and ran," says Ella Hess.
"I think it's great that the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department goes out. They're pretty well public oriented. It's great for kids of all ages it's nice to see Santa," says John Richardson.
And the firefighters enjoy the event just as much as the kids.
"It's just great seeing the kids' faces light up. Christmas is a time for the children and it's great to make their day."
