Kids in Marietta got more than a visit from Santa Saturday afternoon.

Kids and parents stood in line at the Gospel Mission Food Pantry to visit the jolly old man in the red suit for the Operation Backyard Christmas Shoebox.

Each kid got a shoebox full of gifts that were donated by the community.

They also got to choose additional gifts along with a stuffed animal.

"Operation Backyard Christmas Shoebox is for everyone here in the community and it means the world to me. A lot of kids will only get to see Santa here at Gospel Mission Food Pantry and every child needs and should see Santa for Christmas," says Gospel Mission Food Pantry Owner, Candy Waite.

The kids got to enjoy free cookies and juice after receiving their gifts.
