Fans of Orange County Choppers got a treat Tuesday at the Grand Central Mall.
The West Virginia National Guard unveiled the Patriot, a custom-built bike circa 2007.
Sgt. First Class Bobby Fitzgerald says it's an awesome piece of machinery representing the Guard and was designed by guard members.
It's a conversation piece anytime people see the bike.
"Our national headquarters sent out a challenge that requested guard members come up with an idea about (building) a custom bike with Orange County Choppers that would represent the National Guard and our values," Fitzgerald says. "Four people were selected; they took the top four results from the challenge and with OCC went ahead and built the bike."
He says they want to bring it to different communities because the National Guard is a community-based organization, so people can see who they are and what they're about.
