A Parkersburg man is sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.
60-year-old Terry David McVey was sentenced Monday, April 8, according to U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin's office.
The sentence was handed down in Huntington.
McVey admitted he collected at least 300 pictures of children having sex or performing sexual acts.
The child pornography was found on McVey's computer after he downloaded it from the Internet.
He pleaded guilty to the federal charge in December of last year.
