On May 4th the Parkersburg Police Department will conduct testing for entry level police officer positions.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. April 30th.
You must be a U.S. Citizen between 18 and 40 years old with a high school diploma and valid driver's license.
The physical ability standards set forth by the State of
West Virginia are: 27 sit-ups in one minute, 18 push-ups in
one minute, and 1.5 mile run completed in 15 minutes 20
seconds or less.
Veteran’s preference points will be awarded with submission of a DD-214 with the application. Applicants who are currently certified as an officer through the State of West Virginia will receive a $2,500.00 bonus payable upon the successful completion of a probationary period.
