At about 1 o'clock Sunday morning, police responded to reports of a robbery in the 2100 block of Camden Avenue.
A 66 and 18 year-old in the home say they saw a shadow outside the front door window.
They say two white men forced their way through the front door. One suspect grabbed the 66 year-old man by the throat, demanding money.
The victim said he didn't have any and then the suspect started hitting him in the head.
The 18 year-old victim gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then ran away.
Parkersburg Police Sergeant Greg Collins says break-ins are typically motivated by drugs, but they don't believe that's the case this time.
"In this case we don't believe this home invasion has anything to do with drugs at this time. But we will be looking for some kind of connection to person or persons that have been at that home in the last several days or several weeks," says Sgt. Collins.
The victims saw the suspects get in a truck traveling east on Camden Avenue.
One suspect is said to have brown hair and a goatee. The victims were unable to give a description of the second suspect.
