Child Abuse Prevention Month continues around the valley as the Washington County Children's Services held its second annual Child Abuse Awareness Walk.

Kids and parents made their way to East Muskingum Park Sunday afternoon for the event.

The kids got to enjoy going through a bouncy house obstacle course, getting their face painted, and received some figure tie balloons.

People got the chance to walk the scenic river trail showing that kids in Washington County deserves to have a much better life than being abused and neglected.

"We just wanted to get bigger every year. It's something that we want the community to be involved, we want to hand out flyers, to raise awareness about abuse and neglect within our own community and have a day where kids can come out and families can come out," says Washington County Children's Services Protective Case Worker, Stephanie Amrine.

Everyone in attendance also received a free t-shirt and most importantly, learned the importance of preventing child abuse within the community.
