Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Parkersburg Police are investigating an armed robbery at an apartment complex.

It all happened around 6:30 Friday morning at an apartment on Parmaco St.

The victim tells police two men entered her apartment with a gun and left with a large sum of money. The victim says she did not recognize either of the men.

"She had a knock at the door. The person said they were the police. She opened the door. One white male entered, placed her in a chair, covered her in a blanket," explains Parkersburg Police Sgt. Greg Collins. "She said he did have a gun. A second white male entered the apartment. They went through the apartment, there was some conversation, although brief, and an amount of cash was taken from her."

Police say the men left the scene in a black car leaving the victim unharmed.

Parkersburg Police are investigating a reported armed robbery.

They say it happened at an apartment on Parmaco Street.

The victims tell police it was two men but police continue to investigate.

Police say the victims left in a black car.

No other information is being released at this time.

A reporter is there talking with investigators.
