He's dedicated days, months and years to a stadium that people are really proud of.

Rick Bush is named the eighth 'Cornerstone of our Community' for his unwavering commitment to being a leader and changer.

It's the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation's 50th anniversary year. The foundation received a $10,000 gift from Superior Toyota, making it possible for them to choose 10 individuals or organizations to be recognized as cornerstones.

“We worked 20 years on this stadium; when we started it was a muddy ditch and now we've got one of the nicest facilities in the state,” Bush says. “It's nice to know that somebody recognizes that, so I’m very happy for my whole group being honored as a cornerstone here in Wood County.”

Bush says he's been president of the Erickson All-Sports Facility for two decades and he doesn't know how to lay a block.

But he does know how to keep people moving all in the same direction.
