Ohio route 339 near U.S. 50 will be reopened to traffic after Friday...but not for long.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says the roadway will be closed again next Tuesday, to replace a bridge beam struck by a passing truck in June.
That work will take as long as four weeks.
ODOT suggests taking U.S. 50 to state route 550 to route seven as a detour.
If you're in the Belpre area, you'll want to pay attention to a lane closure on Route 7.
Over the weekend, a truck was traveling on State Route 339 and hit the Route 50 overpass bridge.
ODOT officials say the damage is confined to a beam and there's no structural damage to the bridge.
The beam will most likely be replaced within the next few months.
In the meantime, the right lane on Route 7 will be closed for about a tenth of a mile stretch near the overpass.
