It happened around 9:30 Saturday morning in South Parkersburg.

Police say 59 year-old James Keener pulled out of the Glotfelty Tire Center parking lot and into the path of a tractor trailer.

The tractor trailer ran into the side of the Suburban Keener was driving and it ended up in a ditch.

Keener was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

He is cited for no insurance and failure to yield. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the accident.

We might be surprised how many people drive without insurance. I was hit by one almost three years ago - $4500 damage to my truck and he had no insurance to cover it. The cops just gave him a ticket and let him drive home!
