The driver of a semi-truck and his passenger are safe after authorities say the truck hit a telephone pole and jackknifed into the side of a garage.
Lowell-Adams fire chief Joshua Harris says the driver was traveling down State Route 530 in Lowell towards Walnut Street when he lost control.
Both the driver and his passenger are okay and were not transported to the hospital.
Harris says diesel fuel was leaking from the truck but that was contained.
Harris says no one was in the garage or lived in the house that was hit.
The accident brought down power lines and AEP says there were about five to nine people without power.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, AEP, ODOT, Verizon and Lowell-Adams and Beverly Volunteer Fire Departments were all on scene.

The driver and passenger of a semi-truck are safe after hitting a power pole Thursday afternoon in Washington County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the truck jackknifed at the corner of State Route 530 and Walnut Street in Lowell, hitting an AEP power pole and a garage.
Troopers say the driver and passenger both got out and neither of them are injured.
The accident brought down power lines and caused diesel fuel to leak from the truck.
The fuel is contained but power is shut off in that area, leaving between five and nine homes in the dark until around 6 p.m.
