Dozens of children put on their helmets and pedaled into the woods Saturday in Marietta.
The River Valley Mountain Bike Association hosted riders between the ages of four and 16 for their sixth annual "Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day".
The free event began at 10 a.m. in the Kris Mar woods behind the Tractor Supply parking lot.
Organizers like Vince Nedeff say all their efforts are made to give kids a little fun and adventure outdoors.
""It's a really great event, makes me feel good about myself. Makes the club feel like we're giving back to the community and that's what it's all about," said Nedeff.
Following the morning's adventure, the kids were treated to pizza and prized, for all participants.
There was even a brand new bike for one lucky rider.
