Staying on the medical front, we're almost a week into October.

And in observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, one representative from Marietta Memorial Hospital is making sure more people become aware of the disease.

Breast Health Navigator, Kem Dye, was at Grand Central Mall Saturday afternoon giving out free breast health kits.

The kits included a pink light bulb and a pamphlet with the importance of taking care of your body..

Dye hopes area residents will use the pink lights to decorate their home this month.

"I can catch a lot of people and hopefully get them to realize that they need to be taking care of their breast health and not just women, one percent of breast cancer occur in men as well," says Dye.

And that's why Dye reminds us not to miss a yearly mammogram or clinical breast exam.
