Wrestling and pet lovers were in for a treat this evening at Marietta Middle School and all the bodyslams go towards a great cause.
Local pro wrestlers with Remix Wrestling performed for the third annual "Throw Down for the Pound."
Residents came out to see the grapplers raise money for the Ohio Valley Humane Society.
The event takes place twice each year.. happening in April and October.
It's one of the humane society's biggest fundraisers.
"It means a lot, I mean you go in there right now, you see the community coming out supporting for a good cause. You know you're giving back to something that's worthy of giving your money to. You get three hours of entertainment and you're giving back to the community so it's a win-win for everyone," says Remix Pro Wrestlers Event Promoter, Adam Johnson.
Members of Remix Pro Wrestlers hope to raise more than $40,000 from Saturday night's event.
