People got the chance to tour a historic landmark in Boaz Saturday afternoon.
Visitors got to tour the Historic Henderson Hall Plantation.
They seen numerous Christmas decorations throughout the house.
Also, people had the chance to visit each room in the four story building completed in1859.
It's an historic home that featured a family generation of Hendersons living there for decades.
"Because it stayed in the family for five generations, there were a lot of things that were packed away in the old wood chest and crates and we had unpacked them and put them out in the rooms. So the house was never emptied," says Cynthia Buskirk of the Historic Henderson Hall Plantation.
In addition to touring the house, visitors got to see the school house the Hendersons attended.
Some hot wassail, a drink that includes apple cider, cinnamon and oranges and homemade cookies were among the refreshments at the tour.
