The time of giving back to needy kids across the valley continues Friday.
Toys For Tots was accepting toys and cash donations at the Artisan School of Cosmetology in Parkersburg.
Sergeant Cliff Hecker and volunteers were out in the rain receiving unwrapped toys and money from community members.
So far Friday, they collected nearly 90 toys and over $1,000 in donations.
WTAP's Rich Donnelly and Stanley Jefferson were also on hand sharing the holiday spirit to those that donated.
Despite the rainy weather, Artisan School of Cosmetology is pleased to be a part of an event giving needy kids the Christmas they deserve.
"Well considering the weather, we actually done pretty well. We were real fortunate, we got a hundred dollar check from the retired eagles activity club. You know, little things like that makes a big difference," says Sergeant Cliff Hecker.
Those that did give donations to Toys For Tots, were given free hot chocolate and cookies.
