The time for giving back to needy kids around the valley continues Friday as Toys For Tots made its way to the southside Foodland.

Volunteers filled up boxes with toys and received more than $1,000 in donations.

The gifts and donations are going to help over 350 kids around the valley.

Santa Claus and even WTAP's own, Todd Baucher were on hand sharing the holiday spirit for the needy kids.

Sergeant Cliff Hecker was pleased with the amount of toys they received Friday.

"Well we always had very good luck at southside Foodland and this year is no different. We actually been overwhelmed tonight and it's just a good start to make up for what we're lacking so far," says Sergeant Hecker.

Toys For Tots will continue to accept gifts and donations throughout the area for the next three weeks.
