Everyone is packing up the cars to their destinations this memorial day weekend.

Travelers from neighboring states and even North Carolina are making their way on the highways to visit loved ones and friends.

Gas prices around the valley didn't bother people's traveling plans.

Many people are heading to places around the region and even Hilton Head, South Carolina.

WTAP went out and asked some travelers about their plans for the holiday.

"We're gonna have a cookout and bunch of the family are gonna be over for it," says Dennis Hagestrom.

"I am golfing, I'm cooking out with my family and just enjoying some time together with friends," added Barbara Burge.

"Probably make a trip to Cedar Point and go home and have a cookout and my son wants to see his friends and family," replied Shane Sibley.

Law enforcement officers advise drivers to be prepared for larger traffic flows, slow down and buckle up while traveling to your destination.
