Two Arrests in Suspected Heroin Ring, Vienna

Two arrests made in Vienna, police linking them to a local heroin distribution ring.

First on Monday, the Vienna Police Department goes to a home on the 500 block of 25th St.

At the home police find Nathan Shelton, who is wanted on two warrants for delivery of heroin. Investigators say inside they also found evidence of the distribution of heroin, marijuana, pills, digital scales, and packaging. They say there was also a hand gun.

Shelton was arraigned on the warrants and remains in jail on a $50,000 dollar bond.

Then later on Monday, police go to the 900 block of 24th St.

Officers arrest Steven Jenkins for two warrants of delivery of heroin.

Jenkins was arraigned Monday evening.

The Vienna Police Department says both Shelton and Jenkins are part of a continuing investigation and more arrests are to come.

Vienna Police were assisted by West Virginia State Police and the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
