Parkersburg considers upgrades in the years to come and calls in students from Morgantown for help.

The landscape architecture students analyzed the south side library and fire station while also being asked to consider a playground, computer center, and more. Students told the city they believed community center would be the most practical.

The students have been working on plans for the center since august and now presented the city with their ideas.

It's a win, win for the city of parkersburg and WVU students. The city saves money on preliminary plans, while also getting more options and perspectives of the new facility. The students gain real life experience.

WVU's landscape architecture program is the only on in the state.
