An ATV crash takes the life of a local teenager.
The Washington Co. Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Danielle Church of Cutler died at Marietta Memorial Hospital Saturday night.
Church suffered severe head trauma after the ATV she was riding on crashed around 7 p.m. on Graham Rd. in Cutler.
Her older brother was driving the 2009 Polaris RZR 800.
Investigators say the ATV flipped on its side on a private driveway, ejecting Church and her brother.
Reports from the sheriff's office say emergency crews performed CPR on-scene before Church was taken to Marietta Memorial.
"It was an example of probably too much speed for the conditions. They are enjoyable, a lot of fun, you can have a good time, but it's very important also to make sure you do it safely," said Sheriff Larry Mincks.
Sheriff Mincks says Church was originally going to be flown by helicopter to a Columbus hospital.
The accident is still under investigation.
