SNOW EMERGENCY: Washington County Level 2

Athens County is no longer under a snow emergency.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says the country remains under a Level 2 Snow Emergency.

This means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.


Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says the county is under a Level 2 Snow Emergency.

This means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.

In Wood County, authorities say there are multiple accidents on the roadways.
