Some Washington County schools receive top national honors.

Fort Frye High School is just one of ten in the nation to receive the Gold Achievement Award.

This means more than 50 percent of the students earned high achievement on assessments and curriculum.

Marietta High School is one of five to earn the Gold Improvement Award for 2014.

And for the younger students, Little Hocking Elementary receives the MMGW Implementation Award - one of six in the nation.

The program is about schools improving student success through goals and support and providing direction for schools to improve academic and career technical instruction.
