They hosted New Year's festivities and now the Blennerhassett looks ahead to the New Year.

"I'm finishing the New Year's weekend off with a brunch for those that came to the event last night, then we start our planning for the New Year," says John Muller, food and beverage director.

Want to do something different in 2013? The hotel has got you covered.

"We just introduced a new menu with small plates," Muller says.
"We're going to start planning for our Valentine's... we've got another package going on coming up in February, the women's weekend and then of course we also do our culinary classes."

A new day, a New Year, 2013 -- folks around the valley share their resolutions.

"I think I'm finally going to keep my promise to retire this year and take my health a little more seriously and try to enjoy life a little bit more and have a little bit more fun and a little less work," says Larry Parsons of Kingwood.

Dolores Donald doesn't make resolutions but wishes for a peaceful world.

"No New Year's resolution," says Donald, of St. Clairsville, Ohio. "We just wish everybody a blessed, prosperous and peaceful New Year and everybody working together."

Woody Dennison wants to take better care of herself and think about others more.

"Eat healthier and be more compassionate, more giving to other people," Dennison says.
