Around 90 veterans showed up for the Williamstown High School Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly Tuesday morning.
Teachers say it is always important to honor our veterans.
This is a way students can learn and experience through an educational assembly what Veterans Day really means.
School officials say it is also about the community and those veterans that gave so much serving our country
"We as a school just really appreciate the support that the community gives us and of course a lot of the community members are veterans and we also have a lot of support from the American Legion," says teacher Kelly Hendrickson. "And having such a small town and small school it really is close knit and it's a way for us to give back to the community."
The veterans enjoyed a warm meal prepared by students Tuesday morning.
Then they proceeded to be honored with a standing ovation as they entered the assembly and multiple times throughout.
