A Mineral Wells woman is sent to the hospital, after being backed into by a truck near the Blennerhassett Hotel Thursday morning.

It happened at about 9:30.

That's when Parkersburg Police say a truck, driven by 55 year-old Carl Davis of Parkersburg, stopped in the 300 block of Market St. and started backing into a parking space.

That's when 76 year-old Nancy Barnett began crossing the street.

Parkersburg Police say Davis' truck hit Barnett, who ended up under the truck.

Barnett was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center, her condition is not known at this time.

The driver was cited with failure to use care while backing up and driving on a suspended license.

The accident shutdown traffic on Market Street.
