Kids and their families took over City Park Friday.

It's the annual Wood County Deputy Sheriff's Association's Kids Picnic In The Park.

Hundreds of kids and their families turned out for the event.

It featured inflatables, face painting, even a goat for the kids to pet.

Plus, several bikes and other prizes were given away.

It's all free and it's made possible by generous donations to the Deputy Sheriff's Association.

"Just a nice way to stay in touch with the kids, you know, let them know that we're here for them if they need us," says Det. Tim Allen, with the Wood County Sheriff's Department.

The kids picnic has been held at least 20 years.

It always draws a big crowd.
