Marietta Remembers Pearl Harbor

Flags flying half staff while those across the country remember the attack on Pearl Harbor 71 years ago.

National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is December 7th, to remember all those who lost their lives on those attacks on December 7, 1941.

Local veterans send their respects with a wreath in Marietta. The wreath is thrown into the river in honor of all the sailors and service men who lost their lives on that day.

They say it's about keeping that time in history alive.

"Keep this in remembrance. The younger generation, some of them don't even know what it's all about, so we're trying to keep this in their mind, so all of these soldiers, service men and sailors that fought in world war II and lost their lives, we need to keep in remembrance of it," says Commander of AM Vets Post 1788, Danny Hills.
