Carl Irvin “C.I.” Dotson, 97 of Petroleum, Rusk Community, passed away November 11, 2012 at Pineview Continuous Care in Harrisville. He was born August 11, 1915 at Rusk, a son of the late Lemon and Minnie Jane Dotson.

Carl retired from Borg Warner Chemicals, which is now Sabic in Washington, WV and was a farmer. He was a U. S. Army veteran during World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving is his children: Carletta Cayton of Parkersburg, Rosalie Berbeten of Harrisville and Beverly Webber (Rodney) of Parkersburg, four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Vivian (McClead) Dotson, two brothers: Clarence and Dallas Dotson and sisters Sarah Miller and Evelyn Smith.

Funeral services will be Thursday 11AM at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Cairo with Benton Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at the Cairo Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-8PM.
