She was born March 18, 1955 in Marietta to William Phillip Engle, Jr. and Eileen Frances Potter Engle. Julia was a 1973 graduate of Fort Frye High School and a 1982 graduate of Washington State College with an Associate Degree in Business Management. Julia was employed by the Washington County Library History/Genealogy Department for 24 years, a job she truly treasured along with all of her fellow coworkers and the patrons who visited. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Washington County Historical Society and the Washington County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell.
Julia is survived by two brothers, Christopher Engle (Jill Layne) of Seaman, and Patrick Engle (Sherry) of Fleming; three sisters, Marie Miller (Paul) of New Concord, Angela Keiser (Steve) of Vienna, WV and Kathleen Hall (Chris) of Reno, ten nieces and nephews and four great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, with the Rev. Timothy Shannon as celebrant. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. There will be a Vigil Service and the Rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
