Edna Louise Spencer, 89, of Parkersburg, died November 20, 2012 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born August 16, 1923 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Floyd and Edna Smith Badgett. She was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church,currently attended Belleville Baptist Church and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Clara-Edna Chapter #140. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Larry) Hemsley of Cincinnati, OH, Sandra (Charles) Schroeder of St. Louis, MO, Debra (Gary) Nutter of Washington; one brother Berkley Badgett of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Trevor (Lisa) Hemsley, Tyson Thornton, Justin Nutter, Jared Nutter and Jessica (Jason) Gessel; four great grandchildren, Rachel and Jordan Hemsley, Jacob and Jayden Gessel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy H. Spencer; one grandson Tracy Hemsley; two sisters, Eladean VanFossen and Emma Swope. Services will be Saturday 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Scott Morehead officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home.
