Betty R. (Smith) Long, age 84 of Ross Twp., PA, formerly of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

She was born in St. Mary's, WV on April 27, 1928, daughter of the late Job & Rose T. Smith.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Charles L. Long, loving mother of Lee (Jim) Wigal; dear sister of Gladys Butcher; dear aunt of Mike Butcher. Also survived by 4 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.

The service will be at 2:30 pm Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with the Rev. Larry Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Thursday from 1 - 2:30 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
