Dick was born Jan. 28, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Gilbert Hawn and Grace Hawn Gougler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Forma Scientific in Marietta.
Dick is survived by a brother, Walter F. Hawn (Elizabeth) of Hendersonville, N.C.; son, Eric Hawn (Kristin) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; daughter, Tina Brodie (Daniel) of Arlington, Ga.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Brodie, Sean Brodie, and Faith Hawn.
Dick requested that his body be donated to The OSU Medical Center. Memorials may be made to Kindred Health Care, 75 McMillen Dr., Newark, OH 43055
