Mary Margaret Beall, 89, of Parkersburg died December 26, 2012. She was born February 2, 1923 in Clarksburg, WV the daughter of the late Dr. Clem S. Morris and Winnie Fae Morris of Smithville and Harrisville, WV. Margaret graduated from Harrisville High School in 1940 and Sullins College. In 1942, she received a BA degree from the University of Michigan. While at U of Michigan, Margaret completed flying lessons and earned a student pilot license. An avid traveler, she visited 50 US states and over 32 countries. She served as agent for Morris Beall Oil and Gas Company for more than twenty years before retiring.
Margaret was active in Lamba Chi Omega Sorority, delivered Meals on Wheels, volunteered for the Red Cross and at one time was active in Democratic Women's work. For many years she attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Margaret is survived by her husband Russell G. Beall, of Burnt House, WV. Margaret and Russell were married on January 1, 1948. Son Dana B. Beall and his wife Peggy of Williamstown, WV have three children, Brett, Scott and Nicole. Daughter, Donna Beall-Bishop and her husband Donald of Sanibel, FL have one son Jeffrey.
Margaret's family would like to give special thanks to Anna, Bobbi, Judy, Karsun, and Tisha who cared for her in final days.
Services will be Sunday 2:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Dr. William Thomas and Reverend David Carpenter.
Burial will be Monday at the convenience of the family at the IOOF Cemetery in Harrisville, WV.
Visitation will be 3-5 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
