Doris Nell Davitian, 77, of Parkersburg, died January 3, 2013 in Morgantown, WV. She was born January 30, 1935 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Lincoln Brooks and Iris Maxson Flesher.
She was a retired school teacher from the Marietta School System, having taught Home Economics and Biology for many years. She attended West Virginia University, West Virginia University at Parkersburg and Potomac State College; obtaining her Master's Degree in Education. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Dutch Ridge Garden Club and the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four children, Louie S. (Sandy) Davitian, II of Vienna, Timothy S. Davitian of Parkersburg, Theodore (Kathie) Davitian of Vienna, Linda (Tom) Parmer of Carrollton, GA; four grandchildren, Michaelyn Davitian, Samuel Parmer, Noah Davitian, Lilly Parmer; brother Earl (Shirley) Flesher; and sister-in-law Lila Flesher.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, William Flesher.
Services will be Monday 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Kevin Lantz officiating.
