He was born June 17, 1937, in Vermont, a son of the late Dr. Watson Frank Rogers and Marguerite Mortimer Rogers.
Pete is survived by one sister, "Bo" Sybil A. Rogers of Vienna; four sons, Dr. Lee Frank Rogers (Donna) of Tuscon, Arizona, David Rogers (Janet) of Belleville, W.Va., Frank Matthew Rogers (Huong) of Manassas, Va. and Joseph Daniel Rogers (Linda) of Unityville, Pa., several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 51 years, Joyce Ann Hannaman Rogers, who passed in June of 2012.
He was a Landscaper and owned his own landscape business. Pete was also a member of the US. Army. Pete enjoyed Whittling, carving, painting folk art, and pursued whatever he wanted. He had a W.V.U. Masters degree of Horticulture and was a former County Agent in Randolph County.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
