He was born January 6, 1948 at Baton Rouge, La., a son of the late Ernest J. and Mary A. Torgeson Stephens.
Jerry was retired from the Bureau of Public Debt as an accountant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Julia-Ann Square Historical District Neighborhood Association. Jerry’s passion was buying and selling antiques.
He is survived by his sister, Sandra M. Stephens, of Foley, Alabama; and numerous friends.
There will be no public visitation or service. Jerry will be interred at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, Va. Arrangements are under the direction of the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg, W.Va.
