Farren, Charlotte Gene

Charlotte Gene (Moyar) Farren, 89, of Williamstown, WV died January 26, 2013 at Ohio Valley Health Care. She was born on January 21, 1924 in Rouseville, PA and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Charlotte (Lottie) Moyar.

She graduated from Oil City High School, Oil City, PA in 1943. She married Walter E. Farren in August of 1945 and raised five children.

Charlotte was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, traveling and cooking. She was a member of the Williamstown First United Methodist Church and participated in the women's circle and the altar committee.

She is survived by three sons, David Farren of Vienna, WV, Steven Farren (Loretta) of Odessa, TX, and Kevin Farren of Rome, GA; daughter Jodi Farren of Parkersburg, WV; two sisters, Maryetta Snow of Oak Ridge, TN, Helen Patricia Foster of Mantua, OH; grandchildren Jon Farren, Kim Farren of Abilene, TX, Ronald Farren, Michael Farren and Andy Farren of Columbus, OH, Rebecca Farren of Rome, GA and Amanda Farren of Vienna, WV; great grandchildren Austin, Kolby, Brooke, Alexsus, Tyler, Megan, Kaleb and Miles all of Texas, Raegan of Rome, GA, Atticus of Vienna, WV and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Farren in September, 1990; son Keith Farren in May, 2007; two brothers, Tom Moyar and John Moyar, and nephew Jimmy Foster.

Per Charlotte's request there will be no visitation. Her wishes were for all of her friends and family to remember her the way she was.

There will be a graveside service at the Rynd Farm Cemetery in Rouseville, PA on January 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM.

The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to all of the staff at Ohio Valley Health Care who gave such loving care to Charlotte over the last five years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
