Kenneth R. “Mac” McIntire, 70, of Marietta, passed away at his home on Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2013. He was born September 7, 1942, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of James Herbert and Rhoda May Lowe McIntire.
Mac was a graduate of Vincent High School and retired in 2010 after 25 years as a truck driver for Belk in Minndota, IL. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was married to Patricia McIntire who preceded him in death.
He is survived by 1 daughter and 1 son: Batina English and Kenny McIntire, Jr.; grandchildren: Brandy M. English, Mike R. Pugh, John D. Pugh; great grandchildren: Michael R. Pugh, Jr., Andrew D. Pugh, Ivy N. Pugh, Dominic J. Poling. He is also survived by his brother James H. McIntire and sisters: Virgina E. Sadler, Dorothy Pugh, Naomi Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Tonya McIntire and sister Juanita Foreman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening (Jan. 31) at 6:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Barlow Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the hour of the service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
