Lois Ann Sams, 60, of Belleville, WV, passed away on February 3, 2013 at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, WV.

She was born in Parkersburg on January 3, 1953, a daughter of the late Layman and Agnes Harper Flinn.

Lois had worked at Dudley's Florist, Montgomery Wards and for 10 years at Cold Water Creek. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and flowers, and was an excilent cook. Most inportanto her were her family, grandchildren and their activities. She was a member of the Hopewell Church of Christ.

Surviving Lois are her husband of 40 years Jim E. Sams, children Stacy Sams (Mike) of Davisville, Jason Sams (Rebecca) of Lubeck, Jeremy Sams (Carly) of Belleville, grandchildren Austin, Tristin, Justin Ashley, Brandon, Remmingtin, Matthew, brother Laymen Flinn, sister Mary Soales (Danny), brother Ed Flinn (Carolyn), brother in law Steve Miller and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister Donna Flinn Miller.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Randy Baker officiating. Burial will be at the Wadesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 -8 on Thursday and from one hour prior to the service on Friday.
