Georgia was born on July 11, 1925, the daughter and youngest of thirteen children of Milton Lester Hartley and Georgia Vanvlack (Coe) Hartley.
On November 21, 1948 she married Paul D. Bee. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked for C & P Telephone Company, Co-Owner of Bee’s Quick Stop in Mineral Wells, and retired as a surgical technician at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, but she loved most being a wife, mother and grandmother. Georgia enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, making beautiful quilts and spending time with her family.
Surviving are four sons, David (Patsy) of Mineral Wells, Danny, Dana (Tonya), and James (Krista), all of Parkersburg; one step daughter, Markie of Florence, S.C.; eleven grandchildren, Jodi (Neal), Jill (Chris), Clay (Lauriel), Alan (Angela), Amber (Tracey), Josh (Cassie), Nicole, Jeff, Kara, Crystal and Todd; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dean; daughter-in-law, Donna; and twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb 11, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Dwain Hartley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 at the funeral home.
