He was born October 8, 1941, in Elkins, W.Va. and grew up in Clarksburg, the last of seven children of Ray and Margie Fansler Bell. He was the last surviving member of his family.
He was a West Virginia Union Laborer and an avid Parkersburg South Fan. He loved gardening and his best friend, Kringles (his dog).
He is survived by five nephews, Bill (Martha) Miller of Valley Mills, W.Va., Dale (Lora) Miller of Lubeck, W.Va., Bob (Denise) Miller of Mineral Wells, Willard (Jeanna) Miller of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Jeff (Candy) Miller of Parkersburg; two nieces, Margie (Mark) Lynch of Palestine, W.Va. and Tonda (David) Dooley of Burning Spring, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pike St., south Parkersburg. In honoring Charles request, there will be no services.
