Harry L. Bibbee Jr., 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away at his residence Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.
He was born June 6, 1925, in Wirt Co., W.Va., a son of the late Harry L. and Ica Kerns Bibbee.
Harry retired after 36 years from Johns-Manville in Vienna. Harry enjoyed King fishing at Cherry Grove, S.C., deer hunting in Wirt Co., W.Va. and driving on the open road. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by one daughter, Tamela “Tammy” Kipouras (George) of San Ramon, Calif.; one son, John “Mike” Bibbee of Parkersburg; and one grandson, Christopher Kipouras of San Ramon, Calif.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Frances McCutcheon Bibbee; and one brother, Richard Bibbee.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17 and until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
