Kimberly J. Harter, 52 of Belpre, Ohio died February 23, 2013 at the Cabell-Huntington Hospital. She was born in Parkersburg, WV on November 28, 1960 and was the daughter of William D. Harter (Jewell) of Ravenswood, WV and Margy Helen (Terry) Rutherford of Lubeck, WV. She attended Ripley and Sissonville High School. She retired from DuPont, loved nature and camping and spending time taking care of her granddaughter Josie. She spent her whole life giving to others even at the end by giving the gift of life as an organ donor.
Survivors include her two daughters, Margie L. Harter of Belpre, Leslie L. (Jon) Yoak of St. Marys, WV, granddaughter, Josie R. Harter and two grandsons, Landon M. Yoak and Roman Yoak, two brothers, Bill (Shauna) Harter Jr. of Vincent, Ohio, David (Alma) Harter of Parkersburg, and a sister, Brenda (Jeff) Baker of Lowell, Ohio, several nieces and nephews and her special friend and companion, Robert Strahler of Little Hocking, Ohio. Also In Memory Of her dog Jasmine who was at her side till her death.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leona Bell & Kenneth Leslie Simers and Ed and Ethel Harter.
Services will be on Friday at 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastors John Strimer, Mark Eaton officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to services.
