Everett D. Sampson, 83 of Creston, WV passed away Friday March 1, 2013.

He was born in Sylvania Ohio, the son of the late Howard and Eva(Nutter) Sampson.

He served in the United State Navy for nine years during the end of World War II and the beginning of Korea Conflict. He worked for several years for the United States Postal Service as a Carrier and later as a Clerk. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by three sons: Damon Sampson of Creston, WV, Mike Bennett of Florida, Kevin Sampson of California, one daughter Jennifer Southall of Spencer, WV, two brothers: Max Sampson of Rockport, WV, Ron Sampson of Belpre, OH, and four grandchildren: Brady and Erik Johnson of Orma, WV, Keyton and Kylee Sampson of Williamstown, WV. He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother Charles Sampson, and one sister Nancy Hetzer.

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, WV with the Rev. Matt Hornbeck officiating. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service.
