Cleo Irene Kerns, 92 of Daingerfield, TX, formerly of Pennsboro, passed away March 4, 2013 at the East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburgh, TX. She was born August 1, 1920 at Gillispie, near Cairo, a daughter of the late Floyd and Alice (Mullinax) Richards.

Cleo was a homemaker and an avid quilter and seamstress.

Surviving are her children: Wilma Loraine Martin of Daingerfield, TX and Bonnie Kerns of Avinger, TX, sister Johnotheen Morton of Weirton, WV, four grandchildren Mike and Brian Kerns and Tina and Debbie Martin, a great grandchildren Amanda and Wyatt Kerns and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Kerns, son Emmet Kerns, and brother Dwight Richards.

Funeral services will be Monday 11AM at the McCullough Funeral Home, Pennsboro with Pastor Bud Corbin officiating. Interment will follow at the Cairo IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8PM.
