Edward E. Beaver, 86, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 29, 1926, at Beavertown, OH, the son of Bryan G. Beaver, Sr. and Alice E. Spurr Beaver.

Edward was an Army World War II veteran. He was self-employed and had worked for the Washington-Morgan County Community Action.

He married Alma Beaver who preceded him in death. He is survived by 1 son and 3 daughters: Edward L. (Gala) Beaver, Beverly (Doyle) Mendenhall, Christine (Michael) Smith, Melissa (Alfred) Mugrage; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Michael Beaver, 2 brothers, Bryan Jr. and Danford Beaver.

Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home from 4 until 8 on Thursday evening (Mar. 7). Military services will be held at the funeral home at 8:00 pm. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.lankfordfh.com.
